PITTSBURGH (July 24, 2021) — Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC announces its new Tailgate Zone at Highmark Stadium, where fans will be able to gather before and at halftime of Hounds home matches to enjoy drinks, food and music as part of the match day festivities.
The Tailgate Zone will be located just outside of the Highmark Stadium West Gate for all remaining 2021 home matches, beginning with the team’s next match, Saturday, July 31 against Hartford Athletic. Music and entertainment will be provided by media partner Star 100.7 FM, and we are proud to have Fat Head’s, Heineken, Mighty Swell and Straub as beverage partners for the Tailgate Zone.
Beer offerings from our sponsors in the Tailgate Zone will include our Riverhounds Session Copper Amber Lager brewed locally by St. Marys, Pa.-based Straub. Other selections include Fat Head’s Sunshine Daydream IPA, Mighty Swell Cherry Lime Hard Seltzer, Heineken and Bud Light.
Food will be provided by a rotating group of Pittsburgh-owned and operated food trucks, beginning with Progression Bistro and The Sandwich Guy on July 31. A full list of local food vendors scheduled will be available soon on www.riverhounds.com, and the list will be subject to changes or additions.
The Tailgate Zone will be open to all ticketed fans from two hours before kickoff until match time, and it will remain open for service through the end of halftime.
The Hounds also are offering a special Tailgate Zone ticket offer. Fans will be able to purchase a supporters’ section ticket for $18, a cost which includes the price of one Session Copper Amber Lager or non-alcoholic beverage from the Tailgate Zone. To receive this offer online, use the filters option on Ticketmaster and make sure the Tailgate Zone Ticket Offer is selected when you buy supporters’ section tickets.
