PITTSBURGH (March 18, 2022) — Highmark Stadium, the 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Pittsburgh’s Station Square which is home to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC of the USL Championship, today announced a new multi-year agreement with Sodexo Live! as its hospitality partner, following a competitive bid process.
The venue, overlooking the city’s downtown skyline from across the Monongahela River, offers breathtaking views and a stunning backdrop to any athletic event, concert, festival or private function. Also included in the partnership is food service and hospitality provided by Sodexo Live! at the brand new AHN Montour Health + Sports Medicine Center in Coraopolis, slated to open later this year.
Working with Sodexo Live!, the hospitality partner to many of the world’s most iconic venues, the building will double down on a best-in-class guest experience as it seeks to attract a more steady influx of events and bookings. For example, a brand-new POS system has already been installed, which will increase the throughput and get fans back to their seats quicker to enjoy the game.
Its culinarians – led by Executive Chef Sean Griffith – will curate menus and dazzling catering displays in the premium club space, creatively rooted in local ingredients from Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities from all around Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania. There will also be a wide array of pierogis, creative takes on kielbasa, dedicated Riverhound brews in partnership with Straub Brewery and all the gameday favorites like popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, soft drinks and more. All prepared but unused food after each game will be donated directly to local food recovery partners around the 412.

Their expertise will help us best invest in the guest experience for everyone who comes to visit the venue, and we’ll work together to hire local employees and utilize local suppliers, so we can be a true revenue driver for the broader local economy,” Riverhounds SC President Vic Gregovits said.

The Riverhounds’ home opener is this Saturday, March 19th and is anticipating thousands of passionate fans and member of the Steel Army to support the team in full force. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at the Highmark Stadium Box Office.
